How Westminster Works

The Mother of Parliaments is one of the oldest elected legislatures in the world, but how does it all work? How are decisions made, and by whom? What do MPs and peers actually do? Why do bishops sit in the House of Lords, why are debates chaired by the Speaker, and what is the difference between Parliament and government?

This 2-hour workshop answers these and many other questions, and offers participants the chance to develop a much better understanding of how the Parliament they elect works.

What does it cost?

Commercial                                                                     £25 per person + travel expenses

Public Sector (including trade unions)                              £20 per person + travel expenses
