CFWD's analysis of recent polls suggests that, although there will be a small increase in the number of women MPs, the percentage increase is unlikely to exceed 5%. This would mean that less than a quarter of MPs would be women - an improvement on the 19.5% at the dissolution of Parliament, but still very poor. And this is regardless of how well or badly individual parties are doing.
