A woman for UN Secretary General?

At the end of this year the United Nations will be electing a new Secretary-General, a post which has never been held by a woman. 1 for 7 Billion and Equality Now are campaigning to change this, and have a number of actions you can take to help - candidates have to be nominated by countries, so there are pressure points around the world. Outgoing Secretary-General Ban Ky-moon thinks that having a woman at the helm would be 'a great idea' - so it would be, but it will take the current male establishment to make it happen, and women across the world to encourage and support them to do it.
