How Europe Works

The European Union has a considerable influence in its 27 member countries, yet most people are baffled by its workings. What is the difference between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission? How does the European judicial system work? Where does the EU get its money from, who decides how it’s spent, and how? What does a Member of the European Parliament do? What is the relationship between national and Europe-wide bodies, and what are the treaties that define it?

This 2-hour workshop answers these and many other questions, and offers participants the chance to develop a much better understanding of how the European Union works.
