How Elections Work

Elections come round every year, and are central to our democracy, but relatively few people ever vote. Does this matter, and, if it does, what could be done about it? Who can stand for election, what does it involve and what are the rules? How are votes counted, and by whom? Why does the UK have more electoral systems than almost any other country, and how do they all work?

This 2-hour workshop answers these and many other questions, and offers participants the chance to develop a much better understanding of how elections in the UK work.

What does it cost?
