Democracy Works for Women Workshops
Democracy Works for Women is a unique series of workshops designed to illuminate British democracy. Information is presented in an interesting and accessible way, with plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions. and provides a clear introduction to the topic, straightforward explanations of the technicalities, and a new insight into what often seems a closed and mysterious world.There is a list below of the topics we offer; each topic links to a page with an explanation of the content and an indication of cost.
The flexible format means that we can offer your group as much or as little as they want. You can either book one workshop to meet a specific need, or a series of between 2 and 9 covering different subjects. We can even merge workshops (e.g., Political Parties and Elections) or run longer events. It’s entirely up to you.
These workshops are aimed at women working in voluntary organisations, charities, or campaigning bodies, women in the public or private sectors wanting a better understanding of the political process, and women who just want to know more about how public decision-making works and how they can get involved in it. We are able to adapt them to suit particular groups of women (e.g., young women, businesswomen, trade unionists, etc).

Prices include the tutor and all materials, including a pack of information. We ask you to provide the venue and refreshments.
