
Nan Sloane has extensive experience of running organisations at both local and regional level. She has worked in the advertising and insurance industries, and has served as a local councillor. After running a regional political organisation for a number of years she set up the Centre for Women & Democracy in 2006.
Nan is a member of a number of women's and political organisations, and is a member of the Council and Management Board of Unlock Democracy. She has served on several task forces and working groups, including the government's Black & Ethnic Minority Women Councillors Task Force and Fawcett's femocracy project. She has a degree in Political Science from Leeds Univesity and is a Fellow of the RSA. nan@cfwd.org.uk
Olivia has a degree in English and Sociology, and a Masters in Social Research, for which she completed a dissertation on Young Women and Feminism. She worked on CFWD's General Election project, and is currently working on a study of women in leadership roles in local goverrnment.
